How To : Whiten Your Sneakers

November has ended a few days back, which leaves me in a shock. It is almost the end of 2015. I felt like it was just a few days back when I first celebrated my New Year. How time flies so fast...

During the whole month of November, I've gathered 10 songs with different genres. All of these songs were my obsession throughout November.

Starting off, I am currently still obsessed with The Neighbourhood's R.I.P 2 My Youth after watching TheLineUp Menswear November Favourites video in youtube. Both TheLineUp and TheLineUp Menswear are two of my favourite youtube channel that revolves around style and fashion. Why don't you guys check them out?

I've always thought that Here by Alessia Cara is a good song that didn't sound like she was singing at all. It was as if she was talking to someone. Believe me, you should listen to the song. YOU WON'T REGRET IT.

Old Ways by Demi Lovato is currently my favourite from here new album, CONFIDENT. I really like how the song started off so quickly with the very seducing and rhythmic music. My favourite line from this song is 'It was fun playing with knives until the blade stuck in the left side of my chest' VERY MEANINGFUL.

I heard Elle King's Ex's & Oh's through the radio a few times before I decided to download it. It is very rare for me to download a song that I heard from the radio. Usually, I'll just download the song that I think I like but this time, I broke my own pact. Honestly, this song is a very catchy one with the very western-ish music that has been spiced up with a very subtle pop rhythm.

Growing Up by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis is a song that makes you think about your life for a minute. It reminds you to your parents who sacrificed a lot of things just to make you live comfortably. It reminds you to the time when you were scared to ask a girl to the prom but you asked her eventually and she said yes. You face your fears. To add an aesthetic to the song, they featured Ed Sheeran in the song itself.

This song by Sia entitled Alive is a song that I always tuned in to whenever I'm working out in the gym. It gives me the spirit to not give up. I just love when she sang the part ' I'm still breathing '. This is a song that's good for you to hear whenever you're upset over something. Go and listen to this song if you haven't already.

The Feelings by Justin Bieber featuring Halsey is the only song that I love to listen in his new album. I'm not a fan of Justin Bieber but this song is just an aesthetic. It is so relatable to my previous relationships. Just look at this line ' Am I in love with you or am I in love with the feeling? ' You feel me now?

I just love how the song Drive by Halsey starts off with the sound of the lights blinking for four times. I don't think that it's the sound of the lights blinking but I just think that it is cool. Please, if you don't think that she's a good singer, need I remind you that every performer is special in their own way. I do think that she has a very unique voice. I reckon all of you to listen to this song.

Let's spice things up with a twist of difference for my November's Playlist. Yes, I do listen to Kpop songs and personally, I think that this song has a huge subtle meaning behind it. Honestly, I was influenced by my sister because she played this song on replay in her room. Believe me, she played it loudly that even I can hear it from my room. You should give If You Do by Got7 a try.

To tie the knot, I was obsessed with Talk Me Down by Troye Sivan. The music video is a perfect one! Hey guys, he has a unique voice too! If you ever listen to this song, let me know what do you think about it :)

Welcome back!

For the first time ever, I am revealing all the secrets I've been keeping from you guys regarding my clothes and accessories. As most of you know, Closet Confidential contains a series of questions involving my clothes and accessories. Lucky you, I am going to reveal some of the items that I've been keeping in my closet. Do note that most of the clothes I own has been either thrown out, donated to the people who needs it or has been sold online. Let's go revealing my stuffs.

I rummaged through my closet and I've found my oldest clothes which is the red plaid shirt that I bought 4 years ago from Padini. Honestly, I once considered on selling the shirt online but I just can't really do it. If you're wondering why, I am a person who keeps sentimental stuffs but I'm not a hoarder hahaha. Well, the shirt itself is the first clothing item I bought with my own money. I know that the colour seems a bit off from my colour palette but red was my jam! Not only that, when Demi Lovato came to Malaysia for her first concert, I went to the meet & greet wearing that shirt so it does hold the sentimental value there. Well, I do wear it sometimes but not that often since I'm going for a more black & white clothes for the past few months.

As for the newest item in my closet, I would say that the Biker Jacket I bought from Burton Menswear is the newest item. In my previous article, before the #HMBALMAINATION, I showed you guys on the outfit of mine donning the biker jacket but I didn't went too deep on the story behind the jacket. Well, a few weeks back, I was so obsessed with Biker Jacket so I've decided to find one that fits me. I went to PULL&BEAR and also H&M but none of the biker jacket there fits me the way I wanted. I don't know why, my guts told me to step into Burton Menswear because I've never been into the store before (because I was not looking for anything there). I lingered around the store and when suddenly I saw this jacket hanged on the sale section, I quickly grab it and went into the dressing room. I think it was my luck because the jacket fits me well. Before I made the purchase, I contemplated on whether to buy it or not because at that time, I made a reservation on a Biker Jacket from PULL&BEAR but heck it, I can't resist the price tag and the fitting of the jacket. Thus, I walked to the cashier and made the purchase. Should I tell you the price? Nehh.

This one is easy. The most expensive item that I have is my Seiko chronograph watch. The price? Well, I can say that it is more than RM1500. I know right? Like, why the hell am I wearing a watch that costs a fortune for my age? Well, it was after the SPM result (SPM is a public examination for students aged 17 in Malaysia) when I got it. The story behind it? Before I got the watch, I was using my black Fossil watch which looks good on me. Oh gosh, I miss that watch now. It's still there in my closet though. Anyways, I told my dad that the Fossil watch wasn't working so he told me that he'll buy a new one and thus, I got one. Honestly, when I got it, I didn't know how much it was until one day I asked my mom about the price and yes, she told me. I was so shocked and right after that, I started to appreciate my watch more. Not that I didn't appreciate it before but when you know the cost of a particular item is more than you expected, you'll start to take care of it. That's what I did.

My 3 current favourite items are my Lokai inspired bracelet, my loom bands and also my faux round spectacles. You might have guessed right, right? Well, I've been wearing those 3 items quite a lot of times. Whenever I'm out running some errands, that's the 3 items that I'll grab before I go out (despite my car keys and my phone of course!) There's noting much of it to talk about so there you go, my 3 current favourites.

The most affordable item that I use a lot would probably be my basic tee that I bought from Uniqlo. I have 4 different colours which are Black, White, Grey & Dark Grey. The main feature that made me comfortable wearing Uniqlo basic tee is that the material of the fabric. It is so soft. If you're wondering for the price, when I bought them it was only RM20 each!

The most comfortable item I've ever wear is the crewneck sweatshirt that my best friend gave it to me as a gift that he/she (figure it out) bought from Padini. If you didn't know, I am a person who doesn't really wear sweatshirt that much but when my best friend gave it to me, I wear quite often because it was so comfortable. One thing, I can even wear it during the sunny weather (Malaysia's weather is Summer all year long) and not break a sweat! It's so good right? Good job Padini.

My biggest bargain would be the Black Denim Jacket from Forever 21 in the 21MEN collection. The initial price was RM200 something (I forgot how much it was) and when I got it, it was on sale. That time, the price tag shown was RM110 but apparently, there was an additional discount for last 2 season's item so the price I paid was RM90. It's quite a big deal right?

I can say that my boots would be the most uncomfortable item (it's not thaaat uncomfortable, I'll explain why) but I wear it a lot. Honestly, it is not that uncomfortable. It's just the fact that whenever I wear it, I had control my pace of walking because I didn't walk, I haste (Princess Diaries 2 referrence tho!) This boots was from Firetrap and I got it as my birthday gift this year.

I would say that the fedora I own is my biggest waste of money even though it didn't cost me that much. It's the fact that I only wore it once because I had a themed dinner and my outfit was The Hawaiian Boy so I needed a fedora and I bought one. After that dinner, I didn't find any time to wear that fedora. I know someday it will be useful again so I've decided to keep it for future.

I would say that the floral shirt I bought from Cotton On is the most colourful item. I tried to find other colourful item but nothing is as colourful as this shirt even though it only has 3 different colours. There's nothing much to say about this shirt though.

I would say that the Arsenal's jersey that I got from my best friend, Putri Aida Sofia is my favourite piece I've gotten as a gift. I remembered when she told me she was going to buy one for me. I was flattered because I am not a fan of football/soccer but when she gave this to me, I've started to watch some Arsenal match even though I understand nothing from it. Still, this is the favourite piece. Remember that I told you that red was my jam? Yes, that's probably why that this jersey is still my favourite item. since it's a gift, I didn't bring it to my college because I was afraid of getting it stolen so I kept it at home. Whenever I'm in a gym, I wear this jersey as a reminder to work hard on my body so that I'll stay healthy.

Aaaaaaaand that's a wrap for this article. I hope that you get some info about my private items or maybe an idea to give a gift for someone...? Well, I hoped that you enjoy reading this and if you wanna see more of me, you can follow me in my social media. All the links are available at the side bar right there.

Stay confident!

Closet Confidential

On 5th November 2015, Balmain has launched their collaboration with H&M worldwide. I believe that millions of high fashion enthusiast was waiting for that date as they want grab everything they can while stocks are available. In Malaysia, thousands of people lined up in two main H&M Outlets which are H&M Lot 10 and H&M Avenue K. I was on Twitter the night before the launching of the collection in Malaysia, I saw thousands of people lined up and through the pictures I see, I can see that the clothing items will be all gone within the first hour of the launch.

As for today, it is still not too late for me to show you guys what I think grabbed my attention from the #HMBALMAINATION Collection. Here are the 5 items that caught my attention when I reviewed them before the launch.

When I first saw these Jacquard-knit Cotton Jumper, I fell in love. But when I take a look at it for the second time, my unconscious mind suddenly gave me a knock. Yes, I saw these jumper before in an interview. I believe it was an interview with Olivier Rousteing, the Creative Director of Balmain, in Balmain's first flagship store in London.

What I really like about this jumper is that the metallic button on the left shoulder. Apart from that, the design itself speaks. Just look at the black & white design, it looks futuristic but yet it still holds the formal and also casual touch.

I would wear the jumper under an outer wear, maybe.... a Biker Jacket or a Denim Jacket. This one is easy for me to style with because I am a person who wears a lot of black & white so I'll pair this jumper with my black jeans. To maintain the monochrome look, I'll wear my Reebok Classic Leather sneakers as its finishing touch.

This Cotton Shirt with Epaulettes is one of my favourites. When I saw these, I knew how I could wear it. The major detail that made me starstruck is the details on the epaulettes. If you didn't know what epaullete is, it's the strap on your shoulder. This piece reminds me of the Army. This shirt looks totally minimal especially when the button is invisible, it creates the effortless tough look. One last thing, the gold button on the chest pocket enhances the Olive green colour of the shirt.

For this one, I would wear a white basic tee underneath the shirt. I'll leave a few button on the chest open so that it creates the effortless yet minimal look to my outfit. I would wear a skinny jeans or maybe a black slim fit jeans. To finish up the look, I'll wear my Black Puma Faas and wear my Aviator to protect my eyes.

If you think that this leather jacket costs a fortune, think again. With the bombastic gold embroidery across the chest, the arms and the wrist, this one is totally cheap for a designer collection. The gold details of the zipper on the jacket has create the expensive look for this piece. The details on the torso of the jacket has isolate this particular piece from any other pieces available. The detail is very subtle that from far, it looks invisible. One thing that transform this jacket from being too minimal to a very tough-looking jacket is the Lion embroidery. I am totally impressed with the design.

Since it's an outer wear, I will wear a simple White button ups. If I am going for a formal event, wearing a black tie would be preferable. Then, I will definitely wear my black jeans so that the embroidery will stand out. To finish up the look, I'll pair it up with a pair of working boots and wear my round rose gold spectacles. It will be classic!

The thing about Malaysia is that the weather is so hot so it's hard for Malaysians to wear any leather or faux leather biker jacket. Finally, a Cotton Biker Jacket comes in the #HMBALMAINATION Collection. This one will definitely enhances anyone's outfit. If you're a person like me, I would definitely buy this item because I won't go out and about without my jacket. The functionality of this jacket is very suitable in Malaysia's weather. As for the design, it is similar to the Leather Biker Jacket except for the colour. The main attraction from this jacket is that the material of the fabric.

This one is a lightweight outer wear I presume. To bring my outfit for a more casual look rather than looking all grungy and tough, I'll wear something floral underneath the jacket. The floral may be a shirt or a t-shirt but for the colour, it may revolve between white florals or anything that is not that feminine so that I can still maintain the masculine look to the outfit.

For my pants, I would wear a white jeans. It will create the minimal look to the outfit. To finish up the outfit, I'll pair it up with a black derby shoes or a winged tip brogues. Before going out, I'll wear my Aviators.

Finally, I found my last favourite item from the collection which is this Patent Leather Boots. What I like about this boots is that the strap on the higher top of the boots. This item looks very minimal but with the shiny patent leather, it will make the boots boosts your outfit. This one is very suitable for anyone who loves going out with a grungy and tough look.

Since the purpose of wearing this boots is to make the boots pops out from my outfit, I would wear a simple plain dark grey tee or a black tee as my top. A skinny jeans would go well with this boots. Maybe a dark blue skinny jeans? Just to enhance my minimal outfit, I would wear a Black Nixon watch with a few black bracelets on my other wrist. Lastly, I'll grab my Aviators.

Favourite Pieces from #HMBALMAINATION

Thursday, 12 November 2015

Hey guys, what's up?

For this article, I am going to show you guys all the things that I have been loving throughout the month of October. Basically, October is the month where my head will start to spin around as I put my focus on my final examination but that doesn't stop me from doing all the things that I love such as writing an article for this blog and also wear myself some comfortable and presentable clothes.

Let's wrap October with all of the things that I have been loving. Let's start off with my Hair Product.

During the whole past month, I have been using the Safi Olive Oil on my hair. I sometimes use it before I go to class/exams or I use it before I go to bed. This hair product is so good for your hair as it protects your hair from the weather. Well, if the weather is too sunny, the Olive oil will protect your hair from being too dry. Vice versa. Not only that, the aroma of the Olive oil is so calming. I definitely recommend you guys to try out the Olive oil treatment for your hair. It doesn't necessarily needs to be from Safi. Whatever brand that produces Olive oil treatment for your hair, give it a go. Believe me, it helps.

As for Clothing Items, I have been loving my Black Denim Shirt by Pull&Bear that I bought at One Utama Shopping Mall. I have nothing much to say here but honestly, the quality of the fabric of the denim shirt is unbelieveable. The fabric is quite heavy as it is a denim shirt. I don't really have a Black denim shirt so when I bought this one, I fell in love right away. I have been wearing this shirt to every exam that I sit.

The next item is the 'FREE' Sweatshirt by Padini. The quality of the sweatshirt is a-ok. Not that bad and not that good. The sole reason I love this sweatshirt is that I don't really wear sweatshirts whenever I go out so when I bought this sweatshirt, I feel good. It feel comfortable wearing the sweatshirt especially when the weather is not being nice to me.

The last clothing item that I have been loving throughout October is the Black Denim Jeans that I bought from H&M. I love how it is 45% stretchable because it will grab my legs and hey, it feels so comfortable wearing this jeans. It has a tapered cut on the ankle so it does not give you the silhouette of wearing a skinny jeans which for me, I like it very much. I will definitely buy another one soon (which I already did if you read my previous article)

Next category is Accessories. The items that I have been loving are the Lokai-inspired Bracelet that I bought from a local store in my town and also the Grid Minimal Watch that I bought online from Zalora.

As you can see in most of my OOTD article, I have been wearing the bracelet quite a lot. The main reason that I always grab the bracelet whenever I go out is that it's in black. I LOVE BLACK! Well, I can't really find anyone who sells a Lokai bracelet so when I found this one, I quickly buy it without any hesitation. Plus, it fits all of my outfit.

I bought the Grid Watch a long long time ago. That was the time when I was so in love with Grids printing. Be it on shirt, watch, iPhone casings, I LOVE GRIDS. Well, it was quite a cheap watch. I still think that it is still available in Zalora. Guys, if you want to get a 15% off from the items that you buy from Zalora, kindly insert my discount code which is ' ZBAPQSC9 ' upon checking out. Thank me later!

The last category is Footwear. As you all know, in one of my previous article, I told you guys that I bought a new sneakers so this is the sneakers. This is my first time ever buying a white sneakers. For me, I like how it is a leather sneakers so it will be an easy thing to if I want to wash all the dirt off from the sneakers. This is a sneakers from the brand Reebok. I feel comfortable wearing it as it grabs my feet thoroughly. One thing that makes me grab this sneakers is that the sole is a gumsole and it makes the colour of the gumsole pops out. This sneakers are also available in a Black version.

That's it for today guys, I hope you guys enjoy all the things that I write. If you wanna find me somewhere else, you guys can check me out through my Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest. All the links are available in the side bar.

See you guys next time!

Monthly Favourites : October

29th October 2015.

I woke up at 6.30 in the morning and took my bath as usual. It was a very exciting day for me since I am going for the opening of the first H&M outlet in Ipoh. Me, my sister and Fikri who is a friend of mine went for the opening early in the morning. Frankly, the journey to Aeon Klebang is quite far. It took me around 20 minutes to arrive at the mall. We arrived at 8am.

I parked my car in front of the main entrance of the mall, which also happens to be the H&M's main entrance. When I stepped into the mall, there were already some people lining up for the opening. I thought that we were among the 150 people but when we received our number tag, surprisingly, we were among the 50 early birds.

During the lucky draw, my luck was behind me. I didn't win any lucky draw drawn by the host of the event but I don't mind, as long as I got my RM50 voucher, I am fine with it. In case you didn't know, there were 3 prizes for the lucky draw which were RM100 Voucher, RM200 Voucher and RM500 Voucher.

The experience of lining up for an opening is quite exciting. There were loads of people when the clock strikes 9. Well, Since we were one of the earliest, we got bored easily. I started playing some video games while listening to Demi Lovato's Confident album while waiting in line.

I Snapchatted some videos and pictures just to kill some time.

When the clock strikes 10, it is official. The first H&M outlet has open for good. When I first stepped into the store, the vibe was different. I didn't feel like I was in Ipoh, I felt like I was in Kuala Lumpur instead. I roamed around in the Men's Section with Fikri, searching for some clothes to try. I grabbed some t-shirts, jeans, shirts, joggers, sweatshirts and many more along the way. Funny thing was, me & Fikri was the first person to ever hit their dressing room.

I helped Fikri on choosing his new jeans and gave him some styling tips while choosing his clothes. While I was busy searching for my clothes, my sister thought that sweatshirts would be her new clothes in her wardrobe so she got two different sweatshirts and put it into her shopping bag.

Surprisingly, me and Fikri only went into the dressing room for only 2 times, something unusual for me by the way. Unfortunately, I didn't manage to snap some mirror selfie because I was so focused on finding the clothes I need. I'll show you guys what I bought from the opening event.

Before we went in line to pay for our clothes, all 3 of us took 2 bags each, full of used clothes that I brought from home and donated to H&M. In return, we got 2 15% Discount vouchers for each one of us. Thank god, I managed to save my cash up to RM80 from the opening because I used the RM50 voucher and used both of my 15% Discount card.

Let's delve into what I bought from the store.

Basically, I bought three different items which are the Black cap, a new Black Slim Fit Jeans and also a new White Button-Ups.

The total cost for all the items were actually RM198 but after deducting all the vouchers I've used, I only paid for RM118, which for me, is a great deal.

The first item, the Black Cap.

I have been looking for the H&M's plain black cap for a long long time. I always go on their app and screenshotted this particular cap but whenever I go into the H&M outlets in Kuala Lumpur, none of them seems to be available. When I went to the Accessories section in the Men's Section, I saw the black cap and quickly grab it before anyone else could. Fortunately, this was the only black cap available in the store so even though my luck was not there for the lucky draw prize, I am glad that this time, I manage to grab this black cap. This particular black cap costs me RM24.90.

The next item is a White Button-Ups. When I was in college, I realised that I have no white button-ups. If you didn't know, white button-ups is a basic necessities for Men to have in their wardrobe. When I saw these button-ups, I took it and try it right away. I was happy that this button-ups is an easy iron item so it makes ironing easier for me. This button-ups are also available with different other colours. This particular button-ups costs me RM49.90. I used my 15% Discount card on this item, thus it's RM42.40.

The last item that I bought was this Black Slim Fit Jeans. I actually have this one already but this time, I tried on a one size smaller than my usual size. When I tried it on, it fits me perfectly so I put it in my shopping bag. As for this one, the price was RM119 but after I used my 15% Discount card, the price was reduced to RM101.15.

The total price for all the items were RM193.8, after deducting my 15% Discount cards and also my RM50 voucher, I paid for RM118.45. A HUGE DEAL RIGHT?

Well, my advice is that if there's a new H&M store going to be opening soon in your are, mark your calendar, and attend the event. YOU'LL SAVE A LOT OF MONEY FOR YOUR PURCHASE.

If you wanna see more of me, head down to all my social media such as InstagramTwitter Pinterest, all the links are in the side bar.

Thank you for reading. See you in my next article, soon!

Wallpaper_iPadBLackMarble W

Before you continue reading this, I am not a fashion expert but what you're going to read is all the things that I know on how to style yourself as minimal as possible.

Pop quiz: What is minimal?

Often people think minimal is just wearing something simple. For instance, a plain white tees with a blue jeans and slippers. Well, that is called Simple not Minimal. Yes, you are wearing a minimal amount of clothes but the look will be all sloppy and it will look untidy. What Minimal really means is that you pair up your clothes with the similar colour tones.

Main question is, how to style yourself minimal? Minimalistic style comes with different kinds of perspective. Some say that wearing Monochromatic outfit is already Minimal, some say otherwise. But everything depends on your way of styling your clothes.

First, all you have to have is a clothes that is plain and clean. Wear something bright with the same colour tones. Adding an item that holds an opposite colour of your major clothes will add the elegance of your outfit. For instance the picture below, the model wear a brown sweater with a beige stripes in the middle added up with a simple yet clean beige trousers. To spice the outfit, the model wears a black pair of shoes.

Next step is layering. Once you've chosen your clothes to wear, choose a staple piece that will enhance your outfit. It could be a denim jacket, a leather jacket, a bomber jacket, a trench coat or anything that works with you. The layering piece or as I call, Third Layer, doesn't necessarily need to be the same colour as all your clothes that you're going to wear. Wearing something that is bright and vibrant will eventually adds the taste of elegance.

The model above has incorporate cream with red velvet. Well, you can taste the sweetness of the outfit, right? Just look at how minimal his outfit is. As I've told, wear something that is bright and vibrant - like that moto jacket. The outfit looks perfect with the moto jacket rather than looking dull.

If you're the person who loves to incorporate prints with your outfit, then, worry no more. Any print can be paired up to make a minimal outfit as long as the colour sticks to the same colour palette. For instance, if you have a dark floral shirt, you can pair it with a plain black slim fit trousers. In case if you want to spice up the outfit, try putting on a coat over your dark floral shirt. As for shoes, try to go for a more darker colour.

As for the outfit above, the model paired up a black grid shirt with a black slim fit trousers. The slim fit trousers add the silhouette to your legs and it makes you look slimmer. In case if the weather is quite cold or windy, wearing a third layer  is a good move.

Imagine this, tomorrow, you're going to have a big interview for a job that you applied, probably in a fashion magazine as an editor so what are you going to wear so that you can impress all the interviewers? The first thing that you should know is that you should wear something that will impress everyone else without being too exaggerating with your clothes.

Look at the outfit above. It is simply minimal without putting too much effort even though it incorporates with a few different colour tones in an outfit. If you're wondering, accessories play an important role in enhancing your outfit. As for the model above, wearing a sunglasses has added the sophisticated look to the outfit itself and yes, it helps to guard your eyes with all the UV rays projected by the Sun.

What if you're a teenager and you wanna try to wear a Minimal outfit during your outing? Well, if you're the kind of guy who loves wearing sporty outfit, then incorporating black and grey is a perfect choice! For instance, the model below is wearing a dark grey beanie with a black hoodie. As for the pants, pairing up a grey sweatpants is a good move - especially when the sweatpants has been distressed on the knees.

Lastly, if you're the kind of guy who loves to rock a blazer, then you'd probably want to wear a basic tee under your blazer. Pair the top with a skinny jeans so that your outfit will look a bit grungy but still has the essence of Minimal. If you think that that's too boring, try wearing a wide brim Fedora as an accessory. It will definitely complete your look effortlessly.

For an example, the model above wore an all black outfit. The outfit was spiced up with a wide brim fedora. The distressing on the skinny jeans has enhanced the look to be more grungy but yet still holds the Minimal effects to it.

There are definitely a lot of ways to style yourself minimally even if it means that you're going to incorporate with different tones of colours within an outfit. Nothing could go wrong if you love to try and explore your own style. Believe me, it's not that hard to be a Minimalist. But bear in mind that everything has its own limitation. Putting too much prints would go wrong as it is distracting to everyone. Wearing too much layer sometimes could go wrong too if the colour doesn't match. But everything is worth a try.

How To : Minimal

Well hello! How are you guys doing? As I am writing this post, I am currently having my final exams so I am quite busy with my studies and sleep (because we need enough sleep so that our brain can function well during exams). As for this week, I'm showing you guys all of my favourites for the past month of September.

Well, let's hop into my first category which is hairstyling. This month, I've been using this particular clay from Uber Men and it's the Uber Men 3D Matte Clay. Why have I been using it? I've found that wearing clay to style your hair will make your hair looks fantastically classy with its Matte effect. One particular thing that I love about this clay is that it's semi-waterproof. Imagine wearing a clay for a whole day and when you get into the shower, it's hard to take off all the clay from your hair (I've had that experience before so that's why I changed my hair clay). Other than that, this hair clay gives out this soothing fragrance. It smells a bit of charcoal (since it's grey in colour) with a tiny bit mix of Lemon. It doesn't gives out that strong smell, though.

Next category is Music. So for the month of September, I've been listening to Troye Sivan's new album, Wild. My favourite tracks from his album are WILD FOOLS and EASE (feat. Broods). If you didn't know who Troye Sivan is, then let me explain a little bit about him. Troye Sivan is an Australian Youtuber. He makes song covers and talks about lifestyle. He is also an advocate in the LGBT Community. Basically, his sound of music is alternative but not the Lana Del Rey's version of alternative, instead, it's his own version of alternative. Why don't you check out all of his songs? Oh yes, currently he has 2 music videos out from his Wild album which are WILD and FOOLS.

I don't think I am loving anything from my wardrobe but there's this one particular footwear that I've been loving throughout September and it's my first ever boots!

Yes, You've probably seen this boots in my previous post. If you haven't read it, go and read it now you silly. Anyways, I got this boots as a birthday gift from my dad (I told him that I want to buy a pair of boots and he got me as a birthday gift!). The boots are from a UK clothing brand, Firetrap. The original price was RM659 (i guess) but apparently, my dad managed to get it for only RM269! The things that I am obsessed with this boots is that the leather. The leather feels surreal. It is a high quality leather and upon wearing them, it feels comfortable. As you might know, some boots might feel a little bit off while wearing them but let me assure you that this Firetrap boots feels awesome!

Next and the very last item that has been my favourite since I first bought is a scented candle, Black Teakwood by Bath & Body Works. I bought it when I had my daytrip to Kuala Lumpur last August. When I walked into the Bath & Body Works outlet in Nu Sentral, I was in awe. All of the candles there smells so good. When I first entered, I had no specific candles in my mind to buy so I had to ask the promoter to help me. As I was sniffing almost all of the candles, I found this Black Teakwood very special. It has this very distinct aroma, a very woody and have that a squeeze of lemon fragrance. It's quite different from the others. As I am writing this, my scented candle is probably at home in my room. Sadly, there's probably 15% left so I have to use it wisely before I make another purchase.

Those are the items that I am obsessed for this month. I don't think I have anything else that I am obsessed with. If any of you guys have any suggestions on anything that I should try, leave a comment down there in the comment box. In case if you guys want to connect with me apart from reading this blog, you guys can check me out in my social medias. All the links are in the side bar.

Monthly Favourites : September

Friday, 18 September 2015

How are you guys doing ? If you'd ask me, I've just finished handling an event in my college by now. as for this post, I want to carry all of you, my precious readers, away from my fashion talk/outfit-of-the-post kind of post. As for today, I want to share with you guys about all the things that I've been obsessed throughout the month of August (it is still not too late to talk about August favourites, right?)

For the first category, I'll be talking about my favourite tracks or playlist that I've been listening throughout the month of August.

Have you ever heard about a singer named Halsey? No? Neither did I. A few weeks back, I've discovered her through the Vevo's Youtube Channel. There were 2 songs from her new album, Badlands, that I have been uhbsessed listening to. Keep in mind that both of these songs have been on replay in my iPhone's Music app.

The first song is New Americana. The first time I heard it, I fell in love right away! The slow, dark-enchanting vibe that the song possessed has definitely got my ears stuck. Basically, the song portrays that everyone in the nation has come together as a new nation, or as what Halsey chanted, We are the New Americana. Eventhough the lyrics emphasized on Marijuana, Balenciaga, James Dean and some other sexual or I'd rather say it as a very explicit references, the lyrics itself contains a very deep social message behind the explicit usage of words. I am recommending you to listen to the song.

Next is also a song from Halsey, taken from her new album, Badlands and it is called Roman HolidayI haven't made any research for the lyrics but what really got my ear stuck with the song is that the melody of the song, the vibrant vibe that the song conveys, it is as if I'm high on Valium (i don't even know if that really made sense). Yes, you should really listen to the song.

The very next song is from my idol, Demi Lovato. If you haven't heard from the news, Demi has released a new single called Cool For The Summer and it has been my go-to jam. Literally! I have been listening to the song almost every single night, sometimes when I am heading to class, I'll tune into the song and put the volume as maximum as possible (I really enjoy listening to songs in maximum volume because I think it is a way for me to get into the song).

Basically, Cool For The Summer is a seducing, sexy song where lyrically, Demi intends to flirt with a person, to taste the cherry and yes, I don't want to get into the lyrics stuff too deep since it is a very explicit song. Why don't you go and listen to it? Or maybe watch the music video?

Lastly, my favourite song for August is a major throwback song. Let me tell you, I've listened to this particular song for more than 7000 times (there's proof in my iTunes) but the excitement to listen to this song has never changed. The song is Heart Attack by Demi Lovato! I can really relate to that song because, well, I am putting my defenses up because I don't wanna fall in love. If I ever did that, I think I'd have a heart attack (see what I did there? Quoting the lyrics hehehe)

Let's carry on to the next category, Favourite Clothing Item.

As for the month of August, I've been using my Black Denim Jacket that I bought from Forever 21 which was on sale. If you followed my Instagram (link is in the side bar), I've posted a picture of the jacket. Well, if you'd noticed that from my previous Outfit posts, I've styled most of the outfit with the black denim jacket and yes, that is the jacket that I am talking about! Why am I obsessed with it? I don't really know but I am sure that I am obsessed with the colour of the jacket (Black is my soul, literally) and also the smell of the jacket. Let me tell you, it has this very distinct smell where it literally smelled like gun powder.

Moving on to my favourite movie. As for August, I am in love again with The Vow. I've watched the movie for more than 8 times already but every single time I watched it, it was like I am watching the movie for the first time! I really like the plot of the movie where it carries you away from the typical romance movies and instead of being all lovey dovey, the movie shows you that how a husband can sacrifice everything in order to win his wife back (his wife was injured at the brain which causes some memory loss and she doesn't remember about her husband at all). If none of you guys have watched it, please please please go and watch it. I bet that you'll cry somewhere in the movie.

So there you go, all of my favourites through the month of August. How about you let me know what are your favourites in the comment section below? I would love to read from you guys.

Anyways, I hope you guys will have a great day ahead and hey, STAY REBELLIOUS (i am trying to figure out what is my tagline)
